Resident Engineer

About the Role:

EnTech is looking for a Full-Time “Resident Engineer” to oversee transportation infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring quality construction practices, managing project documentation, and facilitating coordination between the contractors, design teams, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading the Construction Management (CM) team, and ensuring that all work complies with project specifications, safety standards, schedules, and budgets. 
  • Manage and document all meetings on site, including site meetings and coordination meetings
  • Liaise with contractors, project managers, and other stakeholders to maintain project timelines and resolve field issues.
  • Conduct site inspections, prepare reports, and document progress under regulatory and quality standards.


Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • The candidate should possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction management field.
  • Design-Build experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work in Northern New Jersey. 
  • Professional Engineer Certification (PE) in New Jersey.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Safety Training.
  • A positive attitude and good work ethic.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Having a minimum of three NJDOT projects where he/she served as RE.


Estimated Annual Compensation:
$165,000 - $187,000
