Construction Inspector

About the Role:

EnTech is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team as a Water Main Infrastructure Inspector/Senior Inspector. In this role, the individual will be responsible for ensuring the safety and compliance of water main infrastructure projects with NYS standards and regulations. Additionally, he/she will maintain precise records of daily activities and the condition of the site on a day-to-day basis.
 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Inspections of water main infrastructure projects to make sure they follow design specifications, and relevant DDC, DEP, and DOT regulations and standards.

  • Reviewing contractor schedules, monitoring operations, and supervising field construction activities to ensure everything meets the required standards.

  • Implement quality assurance and Site safety measures to make sure the construction site is safe for workers, as well as traffic and pedestrians. 

  • Keep accurate records of inspections along with preparing detailed daily technical reports.

  • Work closely with engineering teams, contractors, and regulatory utilities’ agencies to make sure project goals are met.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience inspecting water main infrastructure projects. 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering

  • DDC Water Main Inspection Certification.

  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various project sites (Staten Island, Brooklyn and Queens) as required.
     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong engineering skills and attention to detail, able to understand technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents accurately.

  • Previous experience in a senior inspector role is a plus.

  • Proficiency in using inspection tools, equipment, and computer software
     

Estimated Annual Compensation:
$100,000-$120,000
