NICET Construction Inspector

EnTech is currently seeking a “Construction Inspector (NICET III/IV)” to join our team.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and standards for constructability.
  • Prepare daily reports/inspection reports and maintain a detailed record of work performed.
  • Identify potential extra work & report progress of project and scheduling
  • Keep Resident Engineer/Project Manager advised of issues, and propose possible solutions.
  • Act as a field technical liaison (as applicable) between contractor, quality & design engineering staff.
  • Prepare work estimates, related sketches, and documentation.
  • Review contractor payment requests and recommend reasonableness to Resident Engineer.
  • Attend meetings and briefings; provide other advice and assistance on an as-needed basis.
  • Perform quality control for the construction and rehabilitation of roads and/or bridges, general site work, maintenance and protection of traffic, drainage, earthwork, paving, concrete work, reinforcement steel placement, utility relocation work, coordination, and safety

Required Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of bridge construction experience and at least 1 year of NJDOT bridge construction.
  • Valid Driver's license and vehicle for daily transportation to and from job sites.
  • NICET III Certification or NICET IV Certification
  • ACI, SAT, TCP certifications, and/or other relevant certifications are desirable.
  • OSHA 10-hour/30-hour construction safety training.
  • HAZMAT/ Fall Protection Certification preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of bridge and road construction methods, materials, standards, and specifications.

Estimated Annual Compensation:
$114,000 - $135,200
