Geotechnical Project Engineer

About the Role: EnTech is seeking a full-time "Geotechnical Project Engineer" to join our team. 

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze/design NYCDEP & NYCDDC geotechnical infrastructure projects according to design specifications/standards;
  • Undertake advanced analysis & feasibility evaluations for shallow/deep foundations;
  • Design/oversee construction of deep excavation support systems;
  • Provide expertise in structural design of earth support systems, including retaining structures, embedded wall systems, braced excavations & sheet pile/soil nail walls using dedicated software;
  • Utilize ground-improvement techniques to address foundation problems;
  • Prepare/execute foundation rehabilitation programs as part of infrastructure enhancement initiatives;
  • Oversee instrumentation monitoring & condition assessment programs for infrastructure;
  • Install sensors for infrastructure monitoring & conduct data analysis;
  • Produce pre-construction condition reports before commencement of construction activities.
Required Qualifications:
  • MS in Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering
  • Minimum 1-year experience on infrastructural design projects in NYC area
  • Must be familiar with NYC DEC, DEP & DOT's design specifications, AASHTO & Federal Highway Administration standards
  • Strong analytical skills in data & finite element programs
  • Proficient in AutoCAD/Civil 3D/Python/ArcGis
Salary: $96,138/year
