
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assist the Resident Engineer and project team with day-to-day operations and project management.
Ensure the project is in compliance with all applicable standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements, particularly for NYSDOT projects.
Coordinate with contractors, local agencies, utilities, and NYSDOT representatives to ensure smooth project execution.
Track and process time-and-material work orders, ensuring they are accurate, properly documented, and submitted in a timely manner.
Prepare and manage project documentation, including submittals, change orders, and RFI (Request for Information) tracking.
Assist with managing project budgets and help track expenditures to ensure the project stays within scope and budget.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of daily operations, including work logs, progress reports, and time-and-material costs.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or 5+ years of experience as an Office Engineer in lieu of a degree.
Must have NYSDOT experience, including familiarity with NYSDOT processes, specifications, and documentation requirements.
Must have SiteManager training.
Experience with time-and-material work orders.
Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, and scheduling applications.
Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
