Project Accountant

About the Role:
EnTech is currently seeking a full-time Project Accountant to support financial tracking, billing, and accounting for a variety of infrastructure and facilities projects. The ideal candidate will be analytical, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively with Project Managers, clients, and subconsultants to ensure accurate financial recording and reporting. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyze project contracts to determine billing requirements.
  • Maintain an organized work schedule and ensure timely preparation of client invoices by established deadlines.
  • Coordinate with clients, subconsultants, and project managers to resolve billing issues and support budget planning, staffing approvals, and change orders.
  • Review monthly cost reports to ensure all project charges are billed on a current basis; follow up with Project Managers regularly for those that are temporarily delayed.
  • Proactively monitor project multipliers, overhead rates, and billing rates, and promptly report any discrepancies below the current basis to senior management.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with FAR audits, close-out audits, and other agency audits, along with an understanding of overhead (OH) rate calculations and their impact on project revenue and profitability.
  • Manage accounts receivable and payable for assigned projects.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 1-2 years of accounting or billing experience, preferably in the architecture, engineering, or construction industries.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems (e.g., Unanet).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Enthusiastic about learning and growing within a fast-paced firm.

Estimated Annual Compensation:
$65,000 – $70,000/year
