Responsibilities:

• Oversee/control/verify/report infrastructural construction projects to ensure compliance with engineering plans, NYCDDC/NYCDOT/NYCDEP/NYCHA standards/specifications & resolve any discrepancies
• Review/interpret blueprints/design drawings, develop accurate as-built documentation & implement site plans
• Conduct field assessments & design verifications, ensuring adherence to engineering standards/safety protocols/quality benchmarks
• Perform data analysis & provide engineering technical support for electrical/mechanical/civil work
• Oversee critical system installations, including electrical/mechanical infrastructure & conduct quality assurance inspections to verify conformance to engineering drawings/material standards/functionality requirements
• Develop construction cost estimates based on work plans/engineering documents/drawings, negotiate change orders & adjust project scope as necessary
• Provide engineering calculations for quantity surveys & implement value engineering/reconciliations to ensure projects remain within budget
• Coordinate with design teams/contractors/external agencies to resolve discrepancies, address project challenges & support project success
• Prepare/validate/implement project schedules, including establishing timelines, negotiating time extensions & managing project milestones

Required Qualifications:
 

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field
• Minimum 2 years of field experience working on infrastructural construction projects in New York City area
• Must be familiar with NYC infrastructure design standards/specifications/requirements
• Expertise in statistical/numerical analysis & cost estimation for construction projects
• Strong skills in developing as-built drawings & interpreting blueprints/design drawings
• Proficient in AutoCAD/Bluebeam/MS Office

Salary: $74,600 - $121,800/year
