Structural Engineer

Salary: $86,500- $115,000/year

Responsibilities:
- Manage/prepare concept/scheme/drawings for various types of new/rehabilitation structural projects & design structures per applicable design specifications/codes/agency standards
- Develop structural models, perform detailed calculations to verify stress/displacement/other limit states & optimize design solutions for cost efficiency
- Prepare engineering plans/technical specifications/calculations/drawings/special provisions & produce bidding documents
- Collaborate/coordinate with other design discipline groups in an integrated design environment
- Provide directions to CAD Designers/Junior Engineers for drawing production & perform internal QA/QC reviews
- Lead field inspection teams for structural elements evaluations, prepared inspection reports & design repair details
Required Qualifications:
- MS in Civil/Structural Engineering
- Minimum 2 years of structural design experience
- Advanced knowledge of structural engineering & strong skills in analytical & numerical simulations, analysis of structures (frame/plate/solid element structures), reinforced concrete, steel, wood, masonry & structural detailing/drafting
- Familiar with IBC/AASHTO/ACI/AISC/ASCE design codes & NYSDOT/NYCBC specifications
- Solid field ability to conduct field surveys and inspections
- Proficient in ETABS/RAM/SAP2000/RISA/AutoCAD/Revit
